About The School

School Mission
New City School develops each child’s individual strengths through an integrated Multiple Intelligences curriculum. We prepare children, age three through grade six, to be confident, joyful learners who are successful academically, knowledgeable about themselves and others, and who value diversity.
Quick Facts
  • Located in the historic Central West End neighborhood, New City School has been educating children from the St. Louis Metro area for over 50 years.

  • New City School recognizes that a diverse environment is critical to student success and academic excellence. The school intentionally builds, sustains, and nurtures a diverse community which ultimately helps students gain a deep appreciation of and understanding of issues related to diversity, social justice, and leading for change.

  • Students at New City School engage in a hands-on, experiential curriculum grounded in the theory of Multiple Intelligences, which encourages children to develop their individual strengths and discover their passions; they learn to ask questions, stay curious, and develop a genuine love of learning.
